Who We Are
Funny’s Funny is an organisation run by comedians and promoters to provide links between funny people and the comedy industry. We support all types of comedy, and run an all-female comedy competition -Female Comedian of the Year. We oppose “pay to play”, which is why we set up our competition, in response to Funny Women’s “pay to play” policy, instituted in 2011. We have proved that comedy competitions for women need not be run in this exploitative way, and we offer an industry-based alternative.
We also run comedy workshops and shows at comedy festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe.
